RESCONI participated in the Regional Workshop of the CEBio-Eco/WA Project Partners’ Coalition

The Resource Conservation Initiative (RESCONI) participated in a three-day training session aimed at building its capacity for excellence in storytelling for impacts from 21st to 23rd October 2025 at the African Regent Hotel, Accra. This training was organized by National Geographic and facilitated by the Storytellers Collective. It was purposefully designed to train nonprofit organizations across Ghana.
The main objectives were exposing participants to understand why storytelling is an effective tool to move people to action, crafting and presenting oral and visual narratives for maximum impact. This training brought together nineteen (19) value aligned organizations mainly NGOs including representatives from Meta Foundation, West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), A Rocha Ghana, Strategic Youth Network for Development (SYND) and Young Peace Ambassadors.
The participants were taken through storytelling and its relevance, an introduction to impact storytelling, planning core elements of stories, selection of tools and strategies for impacts and creating presentations that connect with the audience. In addition, participants were taken through visual literacy to create and compose impactful photographs.
This hands-on experiential learning was facilitated by experts and award-winning champions from National Geographic Storytellers Collective.
